Zaina
For on of my final looks I have chosen to use Zaina as my model as she has an interesting diverse background. Zaina is 19 and has a family background originating from Kuwait which is Western Asia, bordering Iraq although Zaina was born British and now lives in Croydon.
Zaina was born with a skin condition called Vitaligo. Vitiligo is a long-term condition that causes pale, white patches to
develop on the skin due to lack of a chemical called melanin.
It can affect any area of your skin, but most commonly occurs on skin
exposed to the sun, such as your face, neck and hands.
Growing up for Zaina as a young girl must have been quite hard as the world we live in today is such a cruel place and I'm pretty sure most people will agree with me! If you're not seen a be perfect, then many children and teenagers get picked on for a physical reason, and also mental reasons. I myself had to deal with comments growing up as my hair had a natural tint of Ginger whilst when I was younger.
I think that her skin is so naturally beautiful, and she is such an inspiring girl to be full of confidence like she is!
